Bubble Built

It is no secret that the NBA bubble works, and whatever the MLB is doing does not work. Baseball began play on July 23 and the NBA tipped off their restart on July 30. MLB, players and personnel, have had over 30 positive COVID-19 cases and 20 games postponed. The NBA has not had a positive COVID test since July 13. Out of 343 tests, zero have been positive.  One is not like the other. Shoutout to the bubble. One league has a commissioner that puts forth an effort to make sure its players are looked out for, and their families. This commissioner makes them aware that their health is actually the priority and money is spent in all of the right places in order to appease all parties (you and I included). This other commissioner lacks the effort in taking responsibility for being blind to reality because of the inconvenience that may come with it.  Robert Manfred may not be a "quitter," but also does not appear to be the most rational either.  It took the MLB quite some...

Did You Miss Me?

Hi. Yes, hello. It's me again.  I want to apologize for it being a little while since the last time we interacted, a lot has happened since then. If you are curious as to what (hopefully you are), you have come to the right place.  I am going to break it down for you... starting with the basics.  I love                       . I do not live in Myrtle Beach anymore. I am back HOME in the lovely Buckeye state of Ohio. Hooray, snow. I work for the Cleveland Indians now (Yes, the Cleveland Indians)! I am not sure why... I don't think he's busy, is he? I have been with the Indians for about a month now.  The saying still stands: Time flies when you're having fun. I have been having a blast.  What a time to co...

MY Mt. Rushmore - Sports Edition

Every sports-enthusiast has a personal Mount Rushmore, right?  I sat down to create mine because I have never documented one... Well, I quickly began to realize how difficult it was to justify just four athletes.  Now my Mt. Rushmore is dedicated to the athletes of MY lifetime. There is no Michael Jordan, Jessie Jackson, Bill Russell, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Jerry Rice, or Jim Brown on my mount. I may have been alive while MJ was playing, but I was not old enough to appreciate what he gave to the game.  Now many athletes may come with some sort of baggage, we all know that. Professional athletes are human, too. As I was stating a few of my Mt. Rushmore candidates I was chatting with a good friend of mine and former professor, Dr. Goldsmith. He brought up the scandals that may have went with these candidates and could possibly tarnish them being on the mount.  Sorry... He was my first thought. Therefore, I must clarify before I justify. The on...
